Candace Taylor has taught acting, voice, speech, and has directed at North Central College, Roosevelt University, the University of Colorado, Southern Methodist University, SUNY-Albany, the University of Delaware, and the University of Tennessee. She now teaches at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC, while maintaining a home in Chicago, IL. As an actress, Candace has appeared at the Public Theatre, American Players Theatre, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theatre Center, Pioneer Theatre Company, The Acting Company, Apple Tree Theatre, Curious Theatre, Clarence Brown Theatre, and Victory Gardens Theatre, among others. Candace has directed productions of THE CHERRY ORCHARD, CLOUD NINE, 9 TO 5, THE MUSICAL, OUR TOWN, ARCADIA, LOVES LABOURS LOST, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, FLYIN' WEST, and ON THE VERGE. She studied Fitzmaurice Voicework for three years in graduate school with Catherine, as the Fitzmaurice Voicework techniques were being developed and workshopped. Candace accepts students for private study and audition coaching in both Chicago and Asheville areas.
