Helena Walsh is one of Ireland’s leading voice specialists and gives workshops nationally and internationally. She works freelance and on actor training programmes throughout Ireland and Europe. Helena is owner and director of her own Voice Studio in Dublin. She currently also teaches Voice at Bow Street , film school and voice & dialect coach at the Irish Film Academy. Helena is Associate Director of Articulate Anatomy, a company set up to develop new writing projects and devised pieces for performance. The company focuses on the development of the ensemble and new dynamic approaches to performance with a strong emphasis on physicality / voice / imagination and play. She has trained and performed as an actress and singer and worked extensively through the work of Roy Hart over the past twenty years. Helena has also taught as voice tutor at The Gaiety School of Acting, on the three year theatre studies programme at Inchicore, V.E.C., The BA in Performance Studies at Trinity College and the BA in Drama at University College Cork. She worked for ten years for New York University on their Overseas Theatre Performance Programme. During her career she has been involved in countless productions, both student and professional. She also teaches Fitzmaurice Voicework on The Postgraduate Yoga Teacher Training Programme run by Lisa Peterson at Living Yoga.
