Laura Riera studied Arts and Theater at Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. She has studied speech with Coralina Colom, Commedia dell’Arte with Carlo Boso and holds the 4th level of modern dance by the school Maxime d’Harroche.
As a Voice Teacher, she works in CC Cotxeres Borell in the training program for actors “Playground Barcelona”, and also leads several workshops in Spain and works with private clients. She also teaches voice and theater in two secondary schools.
As an actress, she is a member of two drama companies; Els Mcgregor Teatre (performing Up All Night, from Midsummer Night’s Dream Shakespeare’s Play, in Festival Clásico de Almagro, Festival Shakespeare de Barcelona and Mostra de Teatre de Barcelona, and also Ròmul the Grate, from Dürrenmatt) and Pere Quart Project (performing several pieces in Spain).
She has performed in several theaters of Barcelona (Teatre Romea, Teatre Tantarantana, Àtic 22, Nau Ivanow) led by several young directors (Bego Moral, Marc Villanueva, Aleix Duarri, Abel Vernet) and performing pieces of Marguerite Duras, Nadia Rosero, Marc Villanueva, Aleix Duarri, and others.
