David Howey is the Director of the Brind School of Theatre at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was an actor in England for 30 years, working with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, in London’s West End and in innumerable TV series and films. He has appeared on Broadway twice and performed Shakespeare across the USA. In Philadelphia he has acted with the Walnut Street Theatre, Bristol Riverside, the Arden, Interact, Simpatico Theatre Project, Lantern Theatre, Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, Philadelphia Theatre Company, the Wilma Theatre, People’s Light and Theatre and 1812 Productions. He has also narrated several concerts for the Philadelphia Orchestra, including the Stravinsky/Cocteau “Oedipus” at Carnegie Hall.
