David Nevell is an actor, educator, and specialist in voice, dialects, text and movement. David has provided extensive voice, dialect and text coaching for South Coast Repertory, Pasadena Playhouse, Cornerstone Theatre Company, Laguna Playhouse, REDCAT, Toi Whakaari, and PCPA, among others. He is a Senior Editor at the International Dialects of English Archive (IDEA), and a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. He has worked as Vocal Consultant to Walt Disney Entertainment Productions continually since 2006. 

As an actor, David’s credits include productions with the Mark Taper Forum, South Coast Repertory, Laguna Playhouse, The Colony Theatre, International City Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Company, Pasadena Playhouse, Huntington Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, the Los Angeles and Utah Shakespeare Festivals, Geva Theatre, San Jose Rep, New Swan Shakespeare, and Pacific Conservatory Theatre/PCPA.

As a director and educator, he has served on the faculty of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School, Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Collaborative Arts Project (Tisch/CAP21), Marymount Manhattan College, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Since 2004, he has served as Head of Voice/Movement, MFA Program Coordinator and Professor of Theatre and Dance at Cal State Fullerton.
