Donya Metzger uses FV in her work with acappella singers worldwide, bringing presence and authentic connection into performance practice. Her work began with 20 years of dance training culminating in a BFA in Dance, which led her to her fascination with approaching the voice through the body. Donya's performing career includes a variety of disciplines from Musical Theatre to Top 40 touring pop band to Barbershop singing, and she has been fortunate to travel all over Southeast Asia, to Europe, West Africa, Australia and New Zealand either performing or coaching. She has recorded upwards of 1000 acappella songs used as learning tracks in the Barbershop world. She recently completed a Master’s of Counselling and is now in private practice as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. She works with singers at the intersection of trauma healing and performance, and teaches voicework to counsellors.
