Erika's work with actors and singers lives in the interplay of voice, movement, breath, text, and the imagination. She began training in voice and movement at the age of 12 at Shakespeare and Company and was fortunate to work with Kristin Linklater, Tina Packer, and Karen Beaumont as her early teachers.

At the age of 10, Erika began taking singing lessons and at 16 began assistant teaching movement classes. After high school, she moved to Boston to train at the Boston Conservatory of Music, and then to New York City for graduate studies in Acting at Circle in the Square. While in New York City, Erika began a more concentrated study in movement work and had the great fortune of studying with Moni & Mina Yakim.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Erika has been certified as an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, working closely with mentor teachers Catherine Fitzmaurice, Saul Kotzubei and Michael Morgan. Fitzmaurice Voicework's highly individualized and comprehensive approach now forms the foundation of her work with the voice and breathing.

She has taught in the theater department at UC Santa Barbara and has been developing a series of exercises to strengthen and increase the flexibility of the imagination. Erika is currently finishing her Somatic Experiencing training to support all of the work she teaches.
