Rikke Liljenberg is Danish, but has lived and worked in the UK for over 20 years. She trained as an actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and completed MA Voice Studies at CSSD, London 2003.

Rikke is a dedicated voice enthusiast who has taught at several of the accredited London Drama Schools: Drama Studio London, East 15 Acting School (University of Essex), LAMDA, and Webber Douglas.

With a solid foundation in Berry, Rodenburg, Houseman and Linklater’s work, Rikke has always had a desire to experiment and find new ways of teaching voice. She was first introduced to Fitzmaurice Voicework in 2003 and knew from the very first tremor that this technique would play an important part in her own practice and teaching. Recently, she has explored Nadine George’s Roy Hart inspired voice work and she continues to look into what yoga, especially Yin Yoga, can do for ones voice and presence.

Since returning to Denmark in 2011 Rikke has worked as a voice-over artist, freelance actor and guest lecturer. When teaching, Shakespeare is her speciality. She runs workshops at all levels: in Universities, Drama Schools and many Upper Secondary Schools. Making Shakespeare’s plays more accessible and relevant for modern day audiences has become an important mission for her. Rikke offers monthly open Voice-Shakespeare workshops at Forsoegsstationen where everyone is welcome.
