AnnaMarie Dennis, MFA in Acting with a specialization in Voice, has taught Voice, Acting, Improv and Yoga over the last 25 years at various locations such as, Cal State University Northridge, Cal Poly Pomona, Portland State, York University, Thrive Yoga, MD, The Basement Theatre in Atlanta, The Cornerstone Theatre Co, LA , Equilibrium Fitness and the Omega Institute for Holistic studies, NY. Her passions for theatre, storytelling, healing and the power of the human voice have taken her in many directions over the years.

She also has experience coaching voice, dialects, movement and text, choreographing, directing, creating and performing original works including, her solo show, Dirty Goddess, a collage of characters touching on religion, sex, and self love, in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. As an actor, her experience ranges from musicals to Shakespeare, clown and stand-up comedy. She is also a poet and playwright.

Inspired by her work with Cornerstone Theatre Company as a vocal coach on Growing Home and the award winning show For Here or To Go at the Mark Taper Forum, she received a grant for the Pomona Interview Project. Which included students interviewing Pomona residents, and a diverse cast of student and community actors, culminating in a play commissioned by Cal Poly Pomona entitled The Myth of Pomona. An original work based on the Roman myth, the city and its residents, which she wrote, co-directed and acted in, produced at Cal Poly and the Downtown Center Theatre. She received a Proclamation from the city for her work.

Her interest in healing and trauma recovery led her to The Omega Institute in New York where she worked for five seasons and did a deep dive into Yoga, meditation, Thai massage, energy healing and a myriad of other modalities and practices. She has served for over 13 years as a Thai yoga massage/energy healing practitioner, and yoga teacher, creating original workshops and classes on breath, meditation, yoga and sound healing.

AnnaMarie was one of the founders of the Second Street Project in Pomona and on the board of the Southern California Shakespeare Festival for five years. She is currently a member of the LA Women's Theater Festival and a freelance coach, advocate, and artist devoted to liberating and uplifting hearts, minds, and voices in these times of profound transformation.

She is passionate about offering fellow artists and human beings support and encouragement in exploring, discovering and enjoying the healing power of their own voices to create joy, connection, healing and empathy within their communities and on the stage. There is no feeling quite like having the confidence to be present and move people with a clear, healthy and expressive voice.
