Returning to In-Person Teaching
Led by Helena Walsh, Gin Hammond, Amy Chaffee

In this Advanced Training Two-Day Workshop we will be offering tools for deeper listening and empathy as we re-enter classrooms. Day One, Helena Walsh will bring Fitzmaurice Voicework & Organic Intelligence into an embodied imagination practice to explore art of focus through awareness, intention and attention, and the art of creative freedom through image, sensation, orientation, meaning and affect. Day Two, Gin Hammond will offer practical grounding and innovative exercises to help both ourselves and our students feel safe... where you are in this moment in time, where they are, empowering us collectively to find pleasure, play, and joy into creative expression. The workshop will conclude with a discussion and support circle led by Amy Chaffee, gathering together as a community to share insights and offer advice during this time.

This workshop will be offered with a live Spanish Translation by Rocío Peña.

Structuring Identity: Conscious Coaching Practices Workshop /Estructurando identidad: Prácticas de coaching consciente

This Advanced Training session is offered to foster conscious coaching practices from a Fitzmaurice Voicework® perspective. Utilizing the Fitzmaurice Institute Principles, and some additional tools, how can we develop empathy in ourselves and our students? What tools do we have to be active accomplices for communities needing our support?

Channeling Your Chaos: The Endless Circle of DES and RE with Jeff Morrison
One of the challenges in FV is conceptualizing and teaching Restructuring in a way that does not shut down the free flow of breath, impulse, and expression that Destructuring invites. In this session, participants will be invited to experience and discuss some of the ways Restructuring is currently being taught in the Certifications that aim to address this challenge. We will work on transitioning from De to Re, finding flow and vulnerability in Restructuring, exploring individual connection to the focus line, and experiencing how the feeling of Destructuring lives inside of Restructuring.

A Core Principles Courses For Certified Fitzmaurice Voicework® Teachers

Self-Care for the Body with Ilse Pfeifer .This self-care session is offered to support Fitzmaurice Voicework® Teachers through restorative contact with the body; specifically with the use of the palms of the hands, the forearms, and props.
Ilse Pfeifer: Autocuidado del cuerpo. Esta sesión de autocuidado se ofrece para ayudar a los maestros de Fitzmaurice Voicework® a través del contacto restaurativo con el cuerpo; específicamente con el uso de las palmas de las manos, los antebrazos y los apoyos.

Self-Care for the Vocal Tract with Julie Foh. In this workshop we will examine how we might be using the muscles of the vocal tract differently to communicate through video conference than we would face-to-face.

Self-Care for Connection: Inviting Presence in Virtual Teaching with Noah Drew. As Fitzmaurice teachers, we help our students become more present – in their bodies, their breath, their voices, the moment, and the room. But for so many of us, our teaching has suddenly moved online. We are virtually present with our students while simultaneously being physically present without them.
Noah Drew: Autocuidado para la conexión: invitar a la presencia en la enseñanza virtual. Como maestros de Fitzmaurice, ayudamos a nuestros estudiantes a estar más presentes: en sus cuerpos, su respiración, sus voces, el momento y la habitación. WHAT: In this workshop, we’ll explore camera and lighting setups and how we can actively utilize them to better engage our students’ creativity and imagination. Over the course of this 3-hour workshop, you will plan and organize your on-camera space, create (and then destructure in) multiple lighting moods, and lead a practice teaching session in a breakout room. Come with your Zoom camera, one or two movable light fixtures, masking tape, and some memorized text and leave this workshop with new ideas, language, and a gear shopping list to make your Zoom classes, meetings, performances, and hangouts more dynamic and impactful.

QUÉ: En este taller, exploraremos las configuraciones de cámara e iluminación y cómo podemos utilizarlas activamente para atraer mejor la creatividad e imaginación de nuestros estudiantes. En el transcurso de este taller de 3 horas, planificará y organizará su espacio frente a la cámara; creará (que luego desestructurará) múltiples ambientes de iluminación y dirigirá una sesión de enseñanza práctica en una sala de reuniones. 
Venga con su cámara Zoom, uno o dos artefactos de iluminación móviles, cinta de enmascarar, algo de texto memorizado y salga de este taller con nuevas ideas, lenguaje y una lista de compras de equipos para que sus clases, reuniones, presentaciones y lugares de reunión de Zoom sean más dinámicas y impactantes.
